M12 General Assembly DAY 1

We are very happy to share the highlight of our recently held General Assembly meeting on the 27th and 28th of June 2023. The meeting took place at the prestigious Kemijski Institut in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event was filled with discussions, informative presentations, and delightful experiences, making it a memorable occasion for all the partners involved.

The meeting started with a warm welcome from the hosts, who began with a presentation introducing the National Institute of Chemistry. The partners were provided with a comprehensive overview of the institute's remarkable contributions to the field of chemistry and research. Following this, the project coordinator extended a heartfelt welcome to the attendees and commenced the presentation with an overview of the project's current status.

Over the course of the first day, each partner had the opportunity to present their respective work packages and tasks. The presentations were enhanced with refreshing snacks and coffee breaks, allowing for informal networking and further exchange of ideas. The partners appreciated the chance to learn more about each other's contributions and progress within the project.

After the presentations, the partners indulged in a delightful lunch at a charming small restaurant. Energized by the delicious meal, the partners then embarked on a visit to ELES, the operator of Slovenia's electric power transmission network.

At ELES, the partners were treated to two captivating presentations. The first explored the fascinating topic of electricity price variation, shedding light on the intricate factors that influence fluctuations in the energy market. The second presentation delved into the international transmission of electricity, providing valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with cross-border energy exchange.

To celebrate the successful conclusion of the first day, the partners met for a delightful dinner at the iconic Ljubljana Castle. Immersed in the breathtaking view of the city, they indulged in vibrant discussions, deepening their connections and cooperation.
