On Wednesday, October 23rd the REVEAL project team held a successful Technical Remote Meeting.
The Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences
OST is the technical coordinator of REVEAL, focusing on system analysis and Al-to-Energy conversion. This includes simulations of Al-to-Energy-CHP benefits, examining Power-to-Al process capabilities, and analyzing grid services and stabilization measures.
RATIOTHERM
RATIOTHERM, through its vast experience in markets, barriers, and exploitation, is evaluating the Al-to-Energy technology for possible further development to Technology Readiness Level 9.
Arctus Aluminium
Arctus will continue the development of CO2-free aluminium production with vertical inert electrodes in electrolytic cells and laboratory operation of the cells.
National Institute of Chemistry
NIC is studying the flexibility and opportunities of using Al as a fuel and is responsible for market analysis of excess electricity, as it shares a high potential for low-cost seasonal energy storage.
