NIC Represents REVEAL at the 2024 E-MRS Fall Meeting
We are proud to announce the participation of Nigel Willy Van De Velde from the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) at the 2024 Fall Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), held from September 16–19, 2024, at the University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland.
The E-MRS Fall Meeting is a prestigious international forum that gathers leading experts in the fields of materials science. This year, the conference offered over 20 symposia across four main scientific clusters. These included topics on energy materials, nanomaterials, and photonics, gathering international researchers for discussions on recent advancements and practical applications in materials science. The event included invited talks, poster sessions, and an exhibition for industry participants, showcasing the latest developments in these fields The contributions presented at the event will be included in prominent peer-reviewed scientific journals, promoting further dissemination of the latest advancements in the field.
Nigel represented the institute by presenting his research titled Oxidation kinetics of aluminium as an energy carrier for seasonal energy storage, as part of the session on Energy-Efficient Materials. This presentation highlighted the potential of aluminium oxidation in the development of seasonal energy storage, a key technology for improving the efficiency of renewable energy systems.
Nigel's presentation and attendance reflect the NIC’s dedication to exploring innovative solutions for sustainable energy storage. The knowledge shared during the conference reinforces our commitment to advancing material science research.
