REVEAL speakers on MeCRE

The REVEAL project team participated in the successful 2nd International MeCRE Conference held in Darmstadt, where the growing community of Renewable Metal Fuels (ReMeF) gathered for knowledge exchange and collaboration. With approximately 150 participants from across the globe, including Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, and France, the event highlighted the increasing momentum and impact of this innovative field.

Two members of the REVEAL consortium, Miren Agote Arán (OST) and Michel Haller (SPF), took center stage as keynote speakers. Miren presented groundbreaking research on low-temperature aluminum-water reaction kinetics, while Michel shared insights into decentralized heat and electricity production using aluminum as an energy source.

The conference facilitated vibrant discussions with esteemed colleagues such as Christian Hasse, Jeff Bergthorson, Keena Trowell, and many more. This collaborative environment underscored the potential of renewable metal fuels in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our participation in the ReMeF Symposium 2025, scheduled for February 12-13, 2025, at the OST Campus in Rapperswil, Switzerland. This symposium will also host the 3rd MeCRE Conference, focusing on the role of metals like aluminum and iron in decarbonizing energy systems.

Attendees can look forward to:

  • Keynote sessions by leading scientists and industry innovators.

  • Interactive discussions on carbon-free seasonal energy storage and power generation.

  • Networking opportunities with experts and collaborators.

  • A spotlight on groundbreaking applications and startup innovations in the field.

We encourage everyone to visit the dedicated page for the ReMeF Symposium on the REVEAL project website for detailed information about the agenda, key topics, and speakers.
