REVEAL Research Featured on Swiss Television

We are proud to share that the REVEAL project was recently featured on Swiss television channel TVO as part of a broadcast covering the ReMeF Conference, held at OST. The report offered valuable insight into the potential of aluminium as a renewable metal fuel, as well as our research role in shaping innovative energy storage technologies for a low-carbon future.

The segment, which begins at 11:37 minutes into the broadcast, includes interviews with key researchers and project partners involved in REVEAL’s experimental and theoretical work at OST and SPF. The REVEAL project aims to develop and validate a closed-loop system where metals such as aluminium are used as recyclable energy carriers, offering a promising alternative to conventional batteries or fossil fuels.

The TV report emphasizes the significant role of aluminium in future energy systems due to its high energy density, abundance, and potential for circular use. By oxidizing aluminium to release energy and regenerating it using renewable electricity, REVEAL’s approach is not only sustainable but scalable.

The coverage of the ReMeF conference also brought wider attention to the growing ecosystem of researchers, institutions, and companies committed to advancing metal fuel technologies, with REVEAL playing a key role in bridging scientific research with industrial innovation.

We invite you to watch the full segment and hear directly from those driving innovation at the intersection of materials science, circularity, and sustainable energy.
