Measurement Campaign at IceTec

As part of the activities of the REVEAL project, a measurement campaign was executed from the 22nd to the 25th of April 2024 at IceTec in Iceland.

The aim was to characterise the off-gases produced during the inert anode electrolysis process and to test the sensor for online monitoring of alumina concentration developed by SINTEF.

Our SINTEF colleagues from Norway represented by Samuel Senanu, Heiko Gaertner and Henrik Gudbrandsen were able to execute the campaign with help from the partners from IceTec and Arctus in Iceland. The partners from Iceland were represented by Gudmundur Gunnarsson, Daniel Thor Gunnarsson, Rauan Meirbekova, Jon H. Magnusson and their students Kamaljeet Singh, Ximena Guardia Muguruza, Daniel Wanga Odongo and Gunnar Dagur Jónsson.

Aside from the successful measurement campaign, partners used the opportunity to discuss important topics relevant to the REVEAL project and form relevant social and professional networks.
